Wow where has the months gone? Today is the first day of Daylight Savings Time. Long day ahead.
I have been quite busy. I have almost completed Megan's quilt. I'm in the process of sewing the binding on. It has turned out quite nice. Not my colors but she picked out the colors and she will like it. The pattern is from Two Qwik Quiltters called Scrappy lllusions. eleanor's quilt is finished. But I have decided to give it away for a baby gift. The quilt looks like a baby quilt. So going with the vibes of the quilt it is now a baby quilt. So thinking about starting the new quilt for Eleanor today. It will be a blue and white Day and Night pattern from Eleanor Burns. How appropriate to make a Eleanor quilt for Eleanor. :)
I have also been working on my birthday blocks for the Garden Forum. I need to make 2 blocks before March 24. Plenty of time. I am enjoying making these blocks. Most of them are blocks I would not normally make.
Off to clean and sew....

Staying Busy

Today decided to make my block for quilt guild meeting for this month. Decided to make Nine Patch Variation. One of my Birthday block buddy choose it for her birthday block. I use black and white fabric as requested. Hope I win this month.
I have a quilt top that needs quilting. I made it for Eleanor. Maybe I can get on it this week. I also think I will start sewing the rows together on Megan's quilt. I have 5 rows quilted and ran out of fabric for the last row. I need to look for more fabric but delaying the trip to quilt shop until Thursday when I have to go to J'ville. But until then I can start pinning the rows together and get a start on that.
I received some 1930 repro fabric from one of my quilting buddy from the Garden Forum. This will help with the next birthday block. Thanks to Teresa.

January 2

With Christmas over and all the projects finished or almost finished ( still have a gift to quilt), I'm ready to return to my sampler quilt I started last June. I am also working on Meg's quilt. I have 4 of the 6 rows quilts. I am quilting it in rows and then plan to sew the rows together. No borders says Megan but I like borders so we will see after I get all together. Sampler quilt needs four more blocks. I have picked out patterns for 3 of the 4. Just got to get them made.
